Summer Holiday 1966
A stone stood here - once
Quite a heap
Did they sacrifice little girls?
We stayed at Karslake Guest House,
which was in this village,
close to this pub
and the Girl Guide HQ.
It was near a rocky beach
with great scrambling
(for boys, anyway).
Mum was on hand
to kiss knees better.
We went to Chesil Beach
and found it very shingly;
but Robyn had a lovely time,
even when it started to rain.
Our Easter Holiday in 1967
It's c-o-o-o-o-l-d!
Oh, not too bad
Quite nice, actually
I think it's smashing!
The clothes horse
Last one in's a cissy!
Just to prove
that crabs
do move sideways.
We found a stone bridge
with a ford for horses
and for others
with shorter legs.
Are they kings of the castle
or dirty rascals?
Higher, Mum!
We found a Hunt setting off. Cheers!
Time to go - slurp, slurp
Must we got to?
